Compare Forthglade puppy grain-free packs and Winalot portions to find the right wet food for your growing pup.
Quick answer
For puppies needing grain-free, high-protein recipes, Forthglade's complete puppy packs are the better choice. For owners of adult dogs or those wanting convenient portioned servings, Winalot Perfect Portions offer balanced nutrition in jelly.
Why grain-free matters for some puppies
Some puppies have sensitive stomachs or allergies to grains like wheat or corn. Forthglade's grain-free recipes avoid these ingredients, using chicken and liver with vegetables instead. This can help reduce digestive upset and support steady growth.
Portion control convenience
Winalot Perfect Portions come in 100g individual trays, making it easy to serve the right amount without measuring or storing leftovers. This is especially handy for multi-dog households or when traveling.
Trade-offs at a glance
- Forthglade Variety Pack (12 x 395g): Grain-free, high-protein, hypoallergenic recipes. Suitable for puppies from weaning onward. Larger cans mean more food per serving. Best if your puppy needs a grain-free diet or you want to rotate flavors.
- Forthglade Chicken & Liver (18 x 395g): Single recipe with 75% chicken with liver and vegetables. Tailored for puppies. Larger bulk pack reduces per-serving cost. Best if your puppy does well on chicken and you want the lowest cost per can in this line.
- Winalot Perfect Portions (40 x 100g): Complete and balanced wet food in jelly. Individual 100g trays prevent waste and simplify portioning. Not grain-free. Best for convenience and portion control, but not for grain-sensitive puppies.
